this is hella awesome

Emilie Autumn (a favorite musician of mine. If you like violins and industrial music, I highly recommend you check her out) posted this gorgeous bracelet on ebay.
So lovely...

I don't have anything else to write about so I am glad that she posted something so pretty.

Now if only she would actually do concerts in the US....

(eeee! the Peter Murphy show is on Saturday! I can almost taste it...[clove cigarettes and tears?])

ghoooosssst rap

I walked passed my computer. Didn't press or move anything. I stepped in a box several feet away, but that was it.
For some reason, Rick Ross' "(Every Day I'm) Hustlin'" started playing.
It was very strange.
ghoster rap?

Also, I just watched the movie "Heavenly Creatures." When it first came on, I was curious, but I read that it was a Peter Jackson film and I was... wary. He is pretty much the ultimate hit and miss director, from what I have seen.
But that was a definite hit. It was amazing. I would have gone to sleep hours before if it hadn't had me so enraptured.

I LOVE YOU PANDORA

I'm sure you all know about Pandora by now.
I LOVE THIS CONCEPT SO MUCH.
Especially because I've been listening to the Bauhaus station I plugged in awhile back... and it's amazing.
Ministry, The Cure, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Buzzcocks, Misfits, The Pixies, Dead Kennedies... and of course, plenty of delicious Bauhaus. MMM...
I'm sure that more bands that are awesome are yet to come.

Oh hey, I haven't mentioned this here. I AM GOING TO SEE PETER MURPHY ON THE 31ST AND I AM SO EXCITED MY TESTICLES DROPPED.

(That's the singer from Bauhaus if you didn't know. He is a sexy old man.)

Damn you Napoleon Dynamite!

I just realized that one of my favorite TERRIBLE '80s songs was used in Napoleon Dynamite. Lame. You know that crappy "Forever Young" track? I really like that song. But now if I tell anyone that, they're going to be like "LOL NAPOLEON DYNAMITE! U LIKE 80'S FOR IRONY!"

But no, I legitimately like 80s pop. Even though I realize it's bad. I could totally listen to that song on repeat. I just actually paid 99 cents to download it from the itunes music store.

LAME MOVIES RUINING THINGS I LIKE.

The other songs I have download from itunes :
(Every Day I'm) Hustlin' - Rick Ross
The Way I Feel Inside - The Zombies
Early One Morning - Custer Larue (I don't care about the artist, it's a traditional british folk song and she has a pretty voice)

I got a shout out in "Exotic"

That nasty stripper mag.
"One respondent even noted that she had officially dubbed smoochknob "the worst band in Portland," a title that is arguably harder to achieve than "best band in Portland.""

Though I'm fairly sure what I said was "Worst band EVER," the shoutout was totally awesome.
After talking about SmoochKnob he goes on to talk about how Ministry has managed to go into suck territory. That's really sad, I love ministry.

And here is a picture for your enjoyment.

Exactly yes.

I promise I will only post quiz results when they are awesome.

I Am A: Neutral Good Human Bard/Wizard (2nd/1st Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-12

Dexterity-12

Constitution-11

Intelligence-17

Wisdom-15

Charisma-18

Alignment:
Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:
Bards often serve as negotiators, messengers, scouts, and spies. They love to accompany heroes (and villains) to witness heroic (or villainous) deeds firsthand, since a bard who can tell a story from personal experience earns renown among his fellows. A bard casts arcane spells without any advance preparation, much like a sorcerer. Bards also share some specialized skills with rogues, and their knowledge of item lore is nearly unmatched. A high Charisma score allows a bard to cast high-level spells.

Secondary Class:
Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

By Jove! 'tis a blog!

Ladies and Gentleman,
I am jumping on the bandwagon. My brother (selfblagulate.blogspot.com) and all his friends have one of these now. I have had a livejournal for four million years, but I can't seem to make myself update it nearly often enough. I figure a little bit of inspiration from my brothers daily blags will
help me stay on top of it.
If you are wondering what is going to be contained herein, I do believe it will mostly be excellent things I come across on, say, brass goggles, livejournals "EGL," or, you know, politics and the like. Movies, television, books, science!, academics. Whatever. I've realized that ranting about my life does not make an entertaining blog, and, well, parts of my life are just too depressing for me to dwell on right now. I think that writing about all of the things that make this planet awesome will make it better.
So, to get you started out, here is some cool shit on brass goggles :
